Framing your Story for your Audience

The absolute first question we always ask any client...

𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚?

You can have the same story. But it has to adapt to the needs of each audience.

𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀:
"𝘞𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵: 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘺, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.
𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘥𝘨𝘦𝘵."

Here’s how you frame it differently for each audience:

𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗗𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦
• Revenue +6% vs PY & GM steady
• Competitor media spend 3X ours in key markets
• To defend share, we need stronger investment

𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠
• Distribution up +12pts & Trial by +3%
• 2 major campaigns with record digital engagement
• But share declined where competition spent more

𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗬𝗘𝗘𝗦
• You hit every executional target
• We didn't beat the competition, but the impact is clear
• We're pushing for the resources you deserve

𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦
• Brand trust is strong: NPS +9pts, repeat rate +5%
• Team is agile, committed, and delivering with discipline
• Stronger support will scale what’s already working

Same story, 4 audiences.

𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘵 :)
